Yes. NursesWeCare follows the CSA Z94.4-18 Standard, the national benchmark in Canada for Respiratory Protection and Fit Testing. Our services are fully compliant with the required protocols for qualitative fit testing, including:

• Bitrex Solution aerosol testing (a recognized, validated method)

• Use of approved fit testing hoods, nebulizers, and procedures

• Completion of both sensitivity screening and fit test protocols

• Proper instruction on user seal checks, donning/doffing, and respirator care

• Advanced knowledge in infection prevention and control (IPAC)

• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and respiratory safety

• Clinical training to assess proper fit, seal integrity, and comfort

• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and health compliance for clients in clinical placements and workplaces

We also provide each client with a printed and verifiable certificate upon successful completion, valid for 2 years (as per Ontario best practices).

Each test takes approximately 25–30 minutes per person.

• No food, drink (except water), gum, or smoking 15–30 minutes before testing

• Arrive clean-shaven (no facial hair that may interfere with the mask seal)

• Bring a valid ID or school/work badge if applicable

Yes. You'll receive a certificate after successful testing, valid for 2 years (in Ontario, Canada). Employers can also verify results via our certificate lookup page (www.nurseswecare.org/verify-certificate).
